Pine Grove, PA
Police in Pine Grove say charges have been filed against Christie Adcock of Branchdale. The charges stem from an incident that occurred during a traffic stop. Authorities say they stopped a vehicle on Parallel road and identified Adcock as the driver. During the encounter officers say they detected an odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle.
Officers say they asked Adcock exit the vehicle to perform a series of Standard Field Sobriety tests. According to authorities Adcock revealed signs of impairment.
Police say Adcock gave consent to search her vehicle where they located an open can of alcohol, a glass container that contained a white powdery substance and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
According to police Adcock admitted the white powdery substance was methamphetamine and also admitted to using methamphetamine before operating the vehicle.
Charges are pending for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving in District Court.
